The Stable at Wernddofn - Booking Terms and Conditions

*References to ‘we’ and ‘us’ in this document relate to the owners, Anne and Tony Nelson of The Stable at Wernddofn.  References to ‘you’ and ‘your’  relate to the person making the booking and all members of the party.

*All information given on our web site, verbally and brochures is given in good faith. We will not knowingly give incorrect information. Inputting errors can happen unfortunately and some aspects of the web site are not under our control. We cannot accept responsibility for any changes to or closures of local amenities, facilities, attractions etc. mentioned or linked to, which are clearly out of our control.

*Your booking - please email or telephone us to verify availability prior to booking. Your provisional booking will be held for 7 days in which time please send a deposit of 25%  along with a signed copy of these Terms and Conditions. We will request the balance of your booking 6 weeks before your holiday is due to begin.  If you book within 6 weeks of your holiday we ask for the full amount to be sent. PLEASE NOTE  if you use our online booking service then the TOTAL booking price is taken  regardless of how far in advance the booking is made.

*Cancellations - If you have to cancel a booking more than 6 weeks before your holiday start date then we will refund your deposit/online booking total less a £15  administration fee  and any online booking fees incurred by us .  If a cancellation is made less than 6 weeks before your holiday the full agreed booking price becomes payable by you. We will try our very best to re-let The Stable for you - if successful we will refund the amount we resell the holiday for less a £15 administration fee and any online booking fees incurred by us.

If we are unsuccessful sadly the full holiday cost will be forfeited. Therefore we strongly recommend that you take out

Independent  UK Travel Insurance to guard against the unlikely event of you having to cancel a booking with us.

*Changes to your booking - Where possible we will endeavour to accommodate any changes you want to make to a booking at no extra charge.

In the unlikely event that The Stable becomes unavailable to let by us  due to

unforeseen circumstances we will give a full refund of any monies received from you.

*Arrival and departure - We personally welcome your arrival from 4 pm on the start date of your holiday. We ask you to vacate The Stable by 10 am on the day of departure. Subject to availability these times may be flexible.

We will make every effort to ensure that The Stable and your holiday at Wernddofn is a happy and comfortable one. Please tell us as soon as possible if there is anything you are not happy with and we will do our very best to rectify the problem.  In the rare event of a condition or restriction occurring at Wernddofn due to circumstances beyond our control e.g. Power cut, flood, drought etc. We will do whatever we can to ease the situation but no liabilities will be accepted by us for such occurrences.

*Your responsibilities - The Stable accommodates a maximum of 4 people plus a cot. Please do not exceed this occupancy as we will refuse you access to the cottage or ask you to leave if this happens with no refund of any monies paid.

Up to 2 well behaved dogs (please contact us if you have more!) are welcome at Wernddofn at a charge of £15  each per stay to cover extra cleaning costs. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs. Please respect the Stable and it’s contents during your stay. Accidents do happen of course so please tell us about any breakages or damage as soon as possible so that it can be dealt with appropriately.

There is ample parking in our large courtyard and we are well off the highway but we must stress that your vehicles and possessions are left at your own risk. Please note there is a bridle way that runs the length of our private drive and up the side of our courtyard which must be kept clear at all times.

Strictly NO SMOKING in The Stable - thank you.

*What is included in your holiday price - a starter credit of electricity (enough for average electricity use in the cottage for the time of year) - extra credit cards can be purchased from us if required for excessive use of electricity (£1, £5, £10 and £20 values). Fresh bed linen, towels  (including beach towels) and T-towels - a ‘Welcome Basket’ of essentials including tea, milk and sugar plus some home-made fayre (e.g. bread, marmalade, jam, biscuits/cake). A cot, highchair and basic pushchair  are available on request (cot bedding not provided). The Stable is stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, washing up liquid and cloths plus other cleaning materials.  Use of an Orange Network mobile phone during your stay - donations gratefully accepted for any calls made!

There is a log burner in The Stable which will provide a comfortable, alternative heat source for which we will provide a  ‘starter’ supply of fuel along with firelighters and matches.  We can sell you further supplies of fuel or it can be bought locally.
